Thread: What is the anonymous source controversy really about anyway?

Whether Trump said what is claimed or not will not shift my opinion of him either way. I suspect this is the view of 90%+ of people talking about this issue.

It’s not about the use of anonymous sources. We have people with *anonymous Twitter accounts* decrying anonymity.

It’s also not about changing how people vote. That’s not going to happen and we know it.

My guess: We're having meta-conversations about truth/credibility because, when it comes to politics, we’ve shown we don’t care about actual truth/credibility. We're pseudo-offended by pseudo-controversies b/c we can't face the "nothing really matters" culture we've created. 3/3
