I feel like a lot skin care brands sell the aesthetic more than the results - and It should be the other way around.
The ceo of moonxcosmeticsllc *skincare line* made $2M in 21 min in July from selling skin care.

A lot of people were shocked because her "aesthetics" aren't super fancy. I WASNT shocked because I can clearly see that the girl sells results. Not aesthetics.
Now I know y'all love the fancy skin care brands because they have nice packaging and look cute on your sink - but let's really think about this for a second lol
left - mooncosmetics feed.
right - drunk elephants feed.

What do you see 🧐

Moon cosmetics 🌚 - before and after photos of customers skin, reviews, + results.

Drunk elephant 🐘 - packaging design, pretty photos, dogs, a graphic about pants, and a kitchen counter
When you show results you're answering your customers number one question :

DOES THIS SH*T REALLY WORK?

Decreased doubt = increased conversion aka more sales 🤑
Now. If you are a sucker for aesthetics and want to have your cake and eat It too. Then you can do that!!! Here's a brand that I found that does both 👇🏽
Disclaimer - I work in marketing. Not skin care. I know how to get people to spend $$$. Not remove a pimple.

So whether or not these products work I'm not sure. My opinions are my own and based on what I'm seeing with my eyes.

So skincaretwitter you can save It 😂
Conclusion :
If you have a product that's focused on beauty, focus on the results and then you can focus on how pretty your packaging looks 😬
This is a perfect time to plug my favorite skin care brands who just so happen to be black owned 😬

@mytopicals - scientifically designed to help w/ dry skin + eczema

@skinBUTTR - clean beauty that works

@mygoodeskin - innovative products and packaging that I love
