But let me tell you this y’all, westerners in general love to dismiss other women experiences, it’s irrelevant to them because it doesn’t affect them personally.
That’s why they try to shut down every conversation about women rights especially in the Middle East and North Africa

So what’s a woman “shelter” take a look at this thread
2- there is a case called “disobedience” it’s a case that can hurt both men and women “ obviously more women “ and it’s if one of your parents reported you for doing something they don’t want you to do.
Which means it will stop you from being independent and live in a home alone without getting arrested, (sentenced to 3 years in the women shelter with lashes)

Now that only affect women, it means you can’t live alone without male permission or the cops will pull up at your door.

Now from these three issues,
A woman can not be independent, live wherever she wants or use any of the rights we gained because there is no law to protect us from prison and male violence.

These cases could get you life in prison, you know why? Because a woman cannot leave the prison without her male guardian permission, properly the one who led her there in the first place.
4- a woman can’t pass her citizenship to her children but a man can
5- we don’t have the freedom of wearing whatever we want outside without being arrested.
6- we cannot testify in court “unless it’s money related” ,therefore we can not become judges or forensic doctors.
7- men are still allowed to get married to several wives.
8- a woman cannot get married without her male permission guardian. * he could be her 15 year old son*
9- in medical mistakes women take half of the “indemnity” a man will take.
10- a woman take half the inheritance her brother or any male would take
11- a woman cannot study abroad without a male traveling with her, other than that they will take her scholarship and immediately send her back to the country. * it rarely happens but it’s still the law*
12- material rape isn’t criminalized.
13- let’s talk about rape, the law says if a woman was black mailed and ended up going to see that guy and he raped her, it’s not rape it’s consensual sex and you will be sentenced to prison and lashes
14- abortion is illegal, and we don’t use DNA in courts, which means the woman will swear “ god’s anger on me it’s his baby “ 3 times, and the man will say “I swear to god it’s not mine” 3 times.
And will get away with it because he *swore *.
15- if a woman was killed her family will get indemnity 50k but if it was a man the family will get 100k.
16- child marriage (15-17) is still legal.
I will stop here, even tho I am not done at all, but the other rights are kinda hard to explain on twitter and it will be so long.
I must say that my country even above all what’s going on has gone a really long way, you should’ve seen how it was few years ago we literally had NOTHING.
