3/ Yolanda has been challenging her expulsion on the basis that she was denied the assistance of her legal counsel & consequently, denied any reasonable opportunity to present her case at the disciplinary inquiry.

4/ Yolanda has also been challenging her expulsion on the basis that Rhodes University also unlawfully denied her the right to an internal review, made available to her in terms of the University’s disciplinary rules.

6/ Since 2017, Rhodes has remained unrelentingly determined to prevent Yolanda from challenging the outcome of the disciplinary inquiry. Rhodes has opposed Yolanda's application for leave to appeal. It will be argued on 7 September 2020.
