Went to 3 sudden deaths yesterday in one shift all with a new girl less than a month on area.
Back on shift today and she said she didn’t sleep one bit last night because of it.
Important to talk to your colleagues and/or friends and family about what we see & go to

Couple of things to add to this as a number of people are replying and questioning:
1 - we were unable to avoid going to all 3 due to a number of custody commitments / lack of resources as they were committed with immediate graded jobs.

2 - our sergeant is absolutely BRILLIANT. It was literally unavoidable and there was nobody else available to deal with them. We couldn’t exactly not respond, imagine how you’d feel if that was your family member? We did our job and a bloody good one at it.
3 - we were de-briefed by our SGT & inspector after. We are a very close knit team and will all look after each other the best we can.
4 - finally, my colleague did an amazing job. Was incredibly professional & treated all deceased with the utmost dignity and respect.
Also - we have spoke about it this afternoon & I will continue to look after her
