P.S: strictly based on my interpretation.

'Winter Flower' is a lyrical masterpiece to me because of the deep symbolisms and metaphors present throughout the song, highlighting the harshness and apathy of the situations one faces during not only the development and growth phrases but also throughout life+

Which eventually brings out the best in them, all the sufferings one goes through before they become capable of performing to the best of their abilities in their field of choice. I'll discuss Namjoon's verse in particular because I'm thoroughly fascinated and in love w his mind+

The way I see it, Namjoon IS the Winter Flower here and it absolutely makes sense to me, given all the disrespectful and difficult situations he had to face, more so being the leader of BTS, not to mention how mentally traumatizing all of it must have been for him to the extent+

He refrained from checking comments during their debut years, worried it might break their spirits and ruin their progress. The layers of hopelessness and despondency that surrounded them is brought up by Joon, saying he couldn't envision or even dream of brighter n better times+

N how everyone on this planet is bound to encounter the harshness and apathy of the world in their lives wherein everything is just dead white, bleak, empty and cold, emotionless to the very core and overcast skies with lifeless trees, and depths of mental devastation, infinity+

And life becomes a dull, unwelcoming monochrome scenery. Envisioning brighter days of soft sunlight and colours in the canvas of life becomes almost impossible however, the only way to deal with it is to never stop and constantly push oneself against the circumstances n limits+

As Joon raps, "born in crimson from the blood you shed this harsh winter" referring to their times as trainees n rookies when they shed their blood, sweat and tears to ride the sea waves so very high in present times, reminding the world of the glory and rewards that comes with+

True dedication and perseverance and challenging one's limits is the key method of progressing in life and in the field of choice, and how the paradoxical life might become a major obstacle in your journey to the summit, n the fact that everyone has it rough doesn't always help+

But one shouldn't forget, as Joon raps,
"Listen carefully, winter, you made me bloom", these very circumstances and situations shape us and frame us, break us and make us, give us a whole different perspective, stronger than before, as they compel us to push ourselves further+

Make us challenge our limits and strengths and capabilities and convert our weaknesses and regrets into the very fuel pump for the fiery dedication and passion to establish ourselves in our chosen fields, these very situations bring out the best in us+

As it did in case of BTS, the severe and harsh situations they were subjected to not only during their trainee years but also after debut, it's their passion and dedication to prove and establish themselves and their ability of immense perseverance that brought them here+

BTS is the Winter Flower which has already bloomed after surviving years of never-ending winter, fighting through them, being broken only to come back stronger, better and with redefined skills in music and dance+

In conclusion, Joon IS the Winter Flower, representing us, hoping for us to make it through, to survive the tough times and winter, and eventually bloom, adding colours to canvas of life. Joon also represent BTS, the road to becoming global stars and the road after is never easy+

Even as global superstars they have their individual tough times and even as groups, and they are ordinary human beings like us which people tend to forget. They too are winter flowers struggling through the winters of their lives, to bloom brighter with every spring time
