If medical specialties were chefs, a thread
Anaesthetic: Michelin Starred pastry chef. Likes everything just so, takes pride in neatness. Will throw a tantrum if logo on plate does not line up with chocolate decor perfectly
Neurology: haute cuisine chef

Very fancy, elaborate, precise dishes cleverly put together. Complex and deep, will use ALL the ingredients. Very expensive.
Surgery: Michelin Starred French Chef of the Brigade System.

Works his kitchen like a military unit, does not tolerate lateness, or mistakes. Technically brilliant, but high turnover of trainees because "reasons"
Emergency Medicine: Expediter Chef.

Probably works the hardest yet least appreciated, has to contend with volume AND quality. If someone goes wrong, she's getting a yellin'
Acute Medicine: man cooking from a mess tin in the woods.

Just happy no one died from eating our food tbh
Gastroenterology: molecular gastronomy chef.

Breaks down your meal into its molecular components, then feeds it to you. Do not eat his Chocolate Cake
GP: food truck chef patron.

Serves quality food to the community, loves people. Sneered upon by many restaurant chefs but really we all know we'd happily eat there.
Cardiology:
Intensive Care: Kitchen Team in a fine dining restaurant in evening service.

Busy as f*ck but everyone knows their job, controlled chaos. Pastry chef hates it here.
Pre-Hospital Emergency Care: the MRE

Designed for harsh conditions. The Michelin starred chef may baulk at it, but it does the job.

Not suitable for long term use.
Orthopaedics: The Braai Master

Maybe a bit rough and loud for some, but no one can deny the ultimate excellent result.
OOH GP: 24 hour diner short order cook

Have to be adaptable, fast, serve up everything the food truck does, but with less orderly queues and more screaming. Beard optional.
Pathology: Jay Rayner @jayrayner1

Ultimate arbiter or whether your food and general service is any good. Objective, might throw in sarcastic remark, but offers constructive criticism ultimately.
GU Medicine: the hipster cafe barista

Their place is clearly way too cool for you, knows more and can tell you more about coffee and how people drink it than you ever need/want to know
