The dilemma for the BRF and UK media is they used everything at their disposal to try and 'destroy' both the public and private life of Harry and Meghan. In the end they could succeeded in driving them away. On their way out they took from them everything the establishment valued
The 'HRH', the 'Sussex Royal' brand; in the hope that without these, the couple would be vulnerable and struggle like all other Royals. This approach has not only failed but it has highlighted some major problems.
1. The Royal Brand

It is not as sought after as they imagined for a number of reasons but mainly because the world is moving towards a more equitable and just society in which privilege and wealth that is unearned has no place. It may take time but that is where we are headed.
2. Media Influence

They no longer have the stronghold on public opinion like they once did. The threat of losing popularity was enough to keep a Royal in check and yet in spite of all the negative headlines, H&M are still moving ahead. Which begs the question.
What value does the current media arrangement with the BRF serve? Also for the wider public if H&M can stand up to them, there is no need for anyone else to fear them. You simply have to have the belief in yourself and trust the wider public to see things for what they really are
Those structures that have held us bondage to accept certain things are neither appropriate nor relevant and we should no longer fear to challenge the system like Meghan said. Change happens gradually and incrementally but it requires consistency.
