Dear Prospective Employer,
I don't think you looked at my application close enough. Try again, if you even care about filling this job.
Best,
Applicant

Dear Collaborator,
I know you have chosen not to work with me, but I think you should tell me exactly why, in detail, so that I can take those notes and try to work with someone else. I don't think you should be compensated for that work, though.
Thanks!

Dear Colleague,
Are you doing your job right? I'm not sure. This is what I would like you to do, even though we do not have an direct working relationship. I know you're busy, but you can just do this for me, and ignore all the others requesting the same thing.
Regards,
A

Dear Hiring Manager,
I know I didn't get the position, but I didn't want your stupid job anyway. You obviously can't spot talent when you see it. I hope your business tanks.

Dear HR,
It's ok I didn't get the job at your company. Can you tell me any other jobs I'm right for, and maybe send my application along to them? Maybe not at your company, because you maybe already did that, but you know, in the rest of the industry? If you have time!
Thanks!

(Things I already know, commentors. Sending a query isn't *exactly* like applying for a job because an agent is not a writer's boss. But it's close in a lot of ways. And thank you for your commiseration. It's not fun to get these kinds of emails! And yep, they happen on the reg.)
