My little sis @Sal_Robins got suspended from Twitter for 7 days yesterday for daring to call someone who IDs as transgender a “trans identified male” & pointing out the danger of appointing this male in a woman’s managerial position on a women’s locked psych ward. Twitter 1/
thinks she’s guilty of hateful conduct. I think she’s guilty of caring too much about the lives of vulnerable women she’s never met & will likely never meet. I think she’s guilty of being a feminist, even though she doesn’t like the label. I think she’s guilty of feeling the 2/
the need to speak out when she sees injustice. I think she’s guilty of being educating in human biology (she didn’t spend 25 years working as an RN without learning a fair bit about the human body, warts & all, & human behaviour.) I think she’s guilty of being wise beyond her 3/
years & having been born female I think she’s guilty of knowing a heck of a lot more about what it is to be a girl and a woman than any of us adult human males can begin to comprehend. But guilty of hateful conduct for stating facts @Twitter? I don’t know what loopy juice you 4/
lot are swigging over there but it’s melting your melons. @Sal_Robins is one of the least hateful people you’ll ever meet & has been an ardent supporter of LGBT rights long before Twitter posted its first Tweet into the ether. She’ll stand beside any trans person to fight for 5/
their rights with them, but you’re drunk if you think she (& any woman like her) is going to sit back & let a minority of white middle class hetero men steam roller over women & girls rights in the guise of fighting for #transrights. #WomenSRightsAreHumanRights also. #LGB 6/
rights weren’t won at the expense of anyone else’s rights. I’ve kept out of this up to now. I’ve silently held my breath at comments I’ve heard at work, at the policy changes & the march of “inclusivity” across all areas of our lives. But in the last 10 years I’ve witnessed 7/
social order breaking down. As a security guard in the UK I worked the doors at clubs & nightclubs for years. I quit the job in 2011. I got sick of dragging abusive men from women’s toilets who insisted they were “trans” & had a right to be there & who then reported us for 7/
discrimination. We rescued many girls/women from assault & voyeurism by these men. I could see where it was all headed. Now I’m told by friends still working in the industry that they’re no longer allowed to evict these men from women’s toilets. Much of their time is now spent 8/
trying to make sure girls/women come to no harm, but they can’t be everywhere. It’s an impossible job. I’m glad I’m out of it. So here I am-A man with first hand experience of what lengths predatory men will go to to access women in spaces where they’re undressed & vulnerable 9/
and I wont be told my sis is hateful. By anyone. I’m a gender critical man. I’m a feminist ally. I stand with my sis. #IStandWithJKRowling. I stand with all women & girls in this fight. #WarOnWomen #SexNotGender #SexMatters #Safeguarding #women & #children #ThisIsNotADrill End/
