It’s 6 am I am on my way to fly from Calgary to Montreal and I have some thoughts on what the roster of the next super smash brothers game should be. (Thread)

So first and foremost for what I’m proposing they’re gonna have to cut like the vast majority of the cast until it’s only the most recognizable figures in gaming ie: Mario Kirby Link Pikachu Sonic Snake Pac Man Cloud Mega Man etc (1)

Then we’re gonna basically rebrand the whole franchise instead of just a video game crossover fighter it’s gonna be a full multimedia crossover fighter with playable characters from every type of media. Here are some examples of characters I want included

The Beatles: now I know everyone’s over the Beatles but they are the most recognizable musicians of all time and I have a great concept for their character and stages so hear me out.

The Beatles would work sorta like Pokémon trainer where you use down-B to swap between John Paul George and ringo. Idk how to add variety to their movesets bc they’re all white men of similar proportions but idk they all play different instruments that could be something.

Plus so much Beatles iconography would work so well as stages like imaging watching Lady Gaga kick the shit out of Solid Snake on a stage that looks like the cover of abbey road. Other possibilities include yellow submarine and the rooftop from let it be.Put the Beatles in smash

Another character I think they need to add to smash or else it’s bad and I won’t play it is Bart Simpson. Many characters from the simpsons franchise would work very well as smash fighters but I think Bart most adequately fits the bill.

Now I haven’t watched the simpsons in a long time so I don’t have a firm grasp on bart’s skills and abilities but he could easily have a side special like wario’s motercycle but it’s his sick fucking skateboard and that has me sold put Bart Simpson in smash

The next character I know for a fact they will put in the next smash game is actor and former NBA player Shaquille O’Neil

Shaq would make a very good heavy with strong projectile attacks thanks to his trusty basketball. Plus for his up special he would make a hoop appear and do a sick dunk into it. Put Shaq in smash.

The next character they’d be cowards not to put in smash is Lady Gaga. Gaga would have lots of different outfits to fight in and have a down special like lucario’s counter but it’s called perfect illusion like her song perfect illusion. Put Lady Gaga in smash

The next character I think is very likely to be in smash is The New 2021 Ford Mustang. I just think the American auto industry is really struggling and Nintendo should throw them a bone once in a while. Put the New 2021 Ford Mustang in smash.

The next character I feel deserves a spot in the smash roster is triple crown winning race horse Secretariat.
I just find horses to be very majestic and dignified and I want to see him galloping on that stage alongside Mario and the gang.
Put Secretariat in smash.

The next character(s) I will sneak into the next smash game’s code are celebrity twins and child stars Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The Olsen twins could either work like Peach and Daisy where one is a clone of the other with the same move set or they could be this game’s version of the ice climbers and work as a team.
