In the Old West America, before the banking system was established, people would put a certain amount of money and valuables in a coffee can, hide it under their mattress and forget about it.

The money will then be used during a crisis.
Or as the modern industrial world would say 'A black swan event'.

The concept of Coffee Can Investing holds relevant to date - in the equity market.

Basically, you buy shares from companies in different domains to form a portfolio and forget about it for a span of 10 years.
While there are arguments for and against #CoffeeCanInvesting, I know people who have made a considerable amount of profits during the same period compared to NIFTY50.

The key is to pick the right set of stocks that you believe will weather and yield great results in 10 years.
Will keep adding more to this thread as I read and learn more about this investing strategy. :)
