It is interesting that when there was a civilizational collapse in the context of European culture in the early years of the 20th century, there were so many writers, intellectuals documenting and engaging and analysing it
But in our time, when we are seeing a similar collapse, we do not see anything remotely comparable. Is this because we have lost a sense of History with a capital 'H', except when peddling spurious doctrines about how "things are getting better" and our blind faith in technology?
who is the Robert Musil, the Thomas Mann, the Nietzsche, the Spengler of our own time?
