@JohnTory do you truly understand what it is like to watch your child die for hours from a gunshot wound to the head? I can never unsee the damage, I can never unfeel the absolute hopelessness I felt knowing I could nothing to save his life even if it was at the expense of mine.

@JohnTory do you know what it& #39;s like to pull out hand fulls of your hair in attempt to try to replace mental anguish with physical pain because your mind is ready to explode?

To go park in a secluded parking lot, away from your surviving children with all the medication from your house, write good-bye letters with never ending tears explaining why you had to leave them behind and hope they forgive you, while drinking rum straight from the bottle

@JohnTory do you know what it is like to wake up everyday playing the death of your child in your mind on repeat, pushing out all the good memories so that you never feel joy? Every holiday, birthday is a constant reminder so you no longer celebrate.

@JohnTory the affects of gun violence are real, this isn& #39;t a movie. We all don& #39;t go back to just living our lives, we are merely surviving every single day. The closer I get to Sept 11th the more I cannot function, my son is dead, no arrest, increasing gun violence, it& #39;s too much
