thread: why i was abused as a muslim for supporting peace with Israel. A few weeks ago i was labelled a "traitor" and a "Jew" for supporting the UAE-Israel Peace Deal. I was abused, threatened and labelled obscenities bc i want peace
To label me « a Jew » and "never discuss Islam because you are a Jew" is so offensive and it angers me. How uneducated can people be? How can we live in 2020 and people possess such HATRED and ANGER towards another group?
Being muslim, i’m proud of my religion. I keep halal, i never miss prayer- i pray 5x a day and i dont do anything "haraam". Im proud to call myself a muslim and believe in our 5 pillars. I practise them daily
I am now a LAWYER. I live and work in a Western state. I have been assaulted, physically threatened, spat on, chased, and followed because i am a visible muslim. I wear my taqiyah with pride.
The people who abused me weeks ago were from KUWAIT. You are very lucky to live in an Arab and an Islamic country- where you are PROTECTED. You have no idea what MUSLIMS out of muslim states deal with. You DONT KNOW my struggles nor how Muslims cope in Western states
To ABUSE me and label me a Jew as a derogatory term because i support peace and coexistence between Muslims and Jews sickens me. You don’t know Islam and you surely aren’t aware of the hadiths of our beloved Prophet (SAW) and his interaction with Jews.
You are all so privileged currently living in the GCC- you’ll never understand the struggles muslims face. You’re protected 24/7. I’m muslim and i am bisexual. I struggle with my identity everyday. I cry and i pray i can change most days. Im scared.
I support Israel’s right to exist and its existence as the Jewish state. Israel is a state. To refuse to recognise this fact & pretend Israel isn’t there proves how immature people are. Israeli’s are attacked on this app- & everywhere. People celebrate Jews&Israelis dying
Living in a Western state i have met so many incredible Jewish (& Israeli) people. They are just like me. We have hopes, dreams, aspirations and needs and desires- but most of all- we all want peace. Ive never had them judge me for being muslim or for not being Jewish.
Ive learnt so much from them whether it be history, food, culture and music. They never condone violence, wars or even controversial israeli policy. We are all humans and share the same fears and desires.
The Israel and Palestine conflict must be resolved. Both sides deserve security, dignity and peace. I believe the UAE- Israel peace deal is proof that proof and prosperity is possible if sides want it. Israelis and Palestinians alike shouldnt be dehumanised.
I have no reluctance to share this view of mine. What my views are and my opinions only matter to Allah SWT come judgement day. I don’t have to justify myself to disgusting uneducated anti-semitic people on this app.
The people who attacked me weeks led me to be ashamed of myself. They made me feel like i was worthless and me identity as a muslim and a human being be stripped of me bc i support peace? I felt like i didnt deserve to be on this app nor on this planet
I will always advocate for the peace and security of Jews and Muslims. We are cousins. We are human beings. We all deserve love respect dignity and harmony.
