Making a thread cuz I'm bored & can't sleep. This one is going to be various threads related to MK Ultra, GLADIO, history of the Internet, sexual blackmail, & some other stuff that I think is relevant to the last couple of years which people might not know much about

1st thing I wanna talk about is a specific case that happened in Texas in 1954, which is a good gateway into MK Ultra & how it impacted individuals outside the realm of intelligence. In San Antonio, a 3 year old girl named Chere Jo Horton was tragically murdered

Horton’s parents left her & her brother in the parking lot while they entered a bar for a quick drink. When Horton’s parents returned, Chere Jo was nowhere to be found. An hour later, a search party found Chere Jo’s underwear hanging from the door of a car parked in a gravel pit

A 29 year old airman at the close by Lackland Air Force Base named Jimmy Shaver wandered out of the darkness. He was covered in blood and made no attempt to escape. Witnesses have said that Shaver was “dazed” and in a “trance-like” state.

Shaver couldn't remember how he had arrived at the pit or why he was covered in blood. Before Shaver could be escorted to county jail, a constable from a different precinct showed up and took custody of him on behalf of military police.

After being questioned by an Air Force marshal, Shaver was released to the county jail. 2 months later, Shaver still had no recollection of murdering Chere Jo. A psychiatric evaluation was ordered by the base commander. Dr. Louis Joylon West performed the evaluation

For two weeks Shaver barely left West’s sight and West ultimately hypnotized Shaver after injecting him with sodium pentothal, also known as “truth serum”, as it decreases high level brain function & weakens the resolve of those who have ingested it.

While hypnotized, Shaver confessed to murdering Chere Jo Horton. At Shaver’s trial, West made no real attempt to exonerate Shaver, telling the court that Shaver suffered a bout of temporary insanity but that was “quite sane now.”

One newspaper account stated Shaver, “sat through the strenuous sessions like a man in a trance.” Shaver was put to death by electric chair in 1958, despite an appeals court ruling the trial unfair due to West seeming to "coach" Shaver into giving his confession

Letters between Louis West & Sidney Gottlieb, the first of which was dated June 11, 1953, when West was the chief of the Lackland Air Base’s psychiatric service, West outlines his goals to Gottlieb

West speaks of his plan, to find “the degree to which information can be extracted from presumably unwilling subjects...possibly with subsequent amnesia for the interrogation and/or alteration of the subject’s recollection of the information he formally knew"

West also proposes, “techniques for implanting false information into particular subjects…or for inducing in them specific mental disorders". After listing his ambitions West concludes that the experiments, “must eventually be put to test in practical trials in the field.”

Dr. West's experiments at Lackland were part of MK Ultra, a wide-ranging series of mind control experiments sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency & often funded/cosigned by the wealthiest & most influential American capitalists. A brief overview of MK Ultra is in order

In 1952, during the Korean War, pilots captured by Korean communists admitted on national radio that they used deadly chemical weapons in the countryside. CIA/State Dept officials were convinced the men's minds had been compromised (which is where the term "brainwash" comes from)

A group of scientists were brought in at the end of the Korean War to “deprogram” returning American POWs. Among the scientists was Dr. Louis J. West, who boasted that he and his colleagues had successfully convinced the POWs to renounce their claims re: use of chemical weapons

In 1953, the CIA prepared its own mind control experiments, director Allen Dulles spoke at Princeton saying "The Soviets are now using brain-perversion techniques as one of their main weapons..." 3 days later Project MKULTRA officially got rolling, with Richard Helms oversight

Broadly speaking, MKULTRA intended to “influence human behavior” with over 149 sub-projects geared towards particular ways of achieving this. The project was so confidential that when John McCone succeeded Allen Dulles as head of the CIA in 1961 he was not informed of it

One of the earliest (& now thanks to the Netflix original "Wormwood" most famous) casualties of MK Ultra was a CIA biochemist by the named Frank Olson.

Olson oversaw “information retrieval” operations, IE a sophisticated form of torture. Olson toured secret detention centers (which would now be called "black sites") that held Eastern European prisoners captured by the USA after the war.
