It is really great to see every1 is concerned abt decrease in GDP GROWTH to -23%.Can we all just go to 1 step ahead and hv a serious discussion abt world's GDP history. Hw India's GDP share reduced to 2% from 24% in 200 yrs of British Rule and it's impact on our society?

In this 200 years 45 USD trillion were looted from this Nation. In today's time, including the GDP of both #China and #America also do not have the same value. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.financialexpress.com/india-news/british-took-45-trillion-out-of-india-in-200-years-s-jaishankar/1723675/lite/
So consider when this country was looted so much money, what a terrible situation must have arisen in this nation? That too when there was no known drought in this country after 1850, serious diseases such as plague, cholera, influenza had spread.
If this corona created such situation, just think what would have happened then? I am giving you three factual irrefutable examples.

1. First example: #Karl_Marx, the most beloved of the communists, writes in his article, 25 June 1853, that in just 18 years (1818–1836)
Britain's exports of twists to India increased from 1 to 5200 times. In 1824, British Muslin was a mere one million yard import, but by 1837 it had exceeded 60 million yards. As a result, 1.5 million people in Dhaka disappeared.

Think what happened to those 1.5 million people?

How many died ? How many survived?

And those survived what would hv been their life standard?
2. Second example: #WillDurant writes in his famous book THE CASE FOR INDIA dat famine under British rule increased frequency n purity.Frm 1770 to 1900, 25,000,000 Hindus died of starvation.Of these, 15,000,000 died in the last quarter of d century, 1877,1889,1897, n1900 famines.
He further said that 40,000,000 people of India may or may not ever satisfy their hunger. Weakened by malnutrition, they provide less resistance to infection; The epidemic periodically destroys millions of people.
2,72,000 died in 1901 from the plague brought from abroad; In 1902, 5000,000; In 1903, 800,000; In 1904, 1,000,000 people died. In 1918 there were 125,000,000 cases of influenza, and 12,500,000 people died. https://archive.org/details/TheCaseForIndia-English-WillDurant
As per census 1891, the average age of the people of India between 1881 and 1819 was only 24 years. Now just think how many people must have been living in starvation? What level of life would you be living? What a pathetic and bizarre situation our ancestors would have faced.
Because Churchill had sourced all the grain from Bengal for his army. Now consider that 3 million people have died. What would have been the quality of life of those who were alive? Scared? Aren't you? Just look at these two pics.
Now for a moment just think!

There were many so called social reformers during this period of 1875 to 1950 including Phule, Ambedkar etc but none of them ever talked about this.

why?
