I’ve been trying to use Twitter as an active place where I post things that I learn each day.

This has two benefits:
1. I write out what I’ve learned to solidify it in my head further
2. Others engage with that and expand my view on the thing I learned
However, sometimes I feel like I don’t have anything to share which makes me think that I’m not learning new things.

But I realized that’s not true.
For example, today I spent (and still am spending) a huge chunk of my day going over Pediatrics. Everything from newborn screenings to vaccine schedules to adolescent exams.

This is a lot of *learning* but very specific and maybe not Twitter shareable learning.
The stuff I post on Twitter (due to the communities I’m a part of on Twitter) is mostly about learning systems and productivity tools. Sometimes there will be insights on building an audience.

Rarely do I share specific medical school learnings.
I think that’s fine because I don’t use Twitter for that. Instead I talk to doctors, residents, and other students to solidify that stuff in my head.

The medium is different but the learning process is still there.
All this to say that just because something isn’t Tweetable doesn’t mean it’s not valuable or causing you to grow.

I’m thinking out loud for myself here but hopefully this benefits others who might be in the same boat and feeling similarly at times.
