Though I did cringe at this part. The guy who shot an unarmed man seemingly for just being a Trump supporter and has previously been arrested at the "protests" probably isn't that great at de-escalation.

Now I'm pissed at myself for giving the NYT the benefit of the doubt. What started out as a decent article now tries to frame the murder victim as an extremist and the killer as an opponent of extremism based on an affiliation with a violent anarchist group.
