There are some sādhanā where sādhaka worships the dèvatā in form of friend, son, father, mother, ruler, husband and also wife

It works for women to think of dèvatā as husband do puja

It is recommended to almost all men, to worship dèvī as mother only. Her sādhanā in “wife” form requires you to be mahadèva

Otherwise it is fraught with danger. You don’t want her running amock in your antahkaraNa.

Why take a Ganga falling from heavens on your head, if you are not Shankara, hain ji?

Aim of sādhanā is one’s moksha or some siddhi/reward

Mother is always compassionate to her children. Wife is different game.

Totally different and intense energies.

Why do this?

One may burn all acquired punya in needlessly firefighting the fires that this sādhanā will lit. End up doing nothing while being slipped on a lower rung. Snakes and Ladders game.
