For my "1st anniversary tweet", I'm going to point out (again) a basic principle that should never be sacrificed by the BBC - or for that matter, by any other sentient citizen who values liberal democracy & rational science:
It is not "biased" to express valid criticism grounded in rational analysis & based on objective evidence.

Conversely, it is not "impartial" to feign neutrality in the face of charlatans peddling lies & fantasies fuelled by ignorance or bigotry.
Self-censorship gives a huge boost to the forces of post-truth populism.

We shouldn't allow ourselves to be intimidated into silence, or worse still, into pretending that barefaced charlatanism is an equally valid worldview or acceptable political strategy.
