MEESEEKS ARE NOT BORN INTO THIS WORLD FUMBLING FOR MEANING, JERRY. WE ARE CREATED FOR A SINGULAR PURPOSE FOR WHICH WE WILL GO.
It has also just hit me that the Meeseeks are reverse humans. They have a short, predictable lifespan, and are created pre-optimized to accomplish one single task.
So what are the affordances?

1. Humans arrive at purpose through a hill-climbing process (unless forcefully molded by a guardian)

2. Meeseeks are 'born' with purpose.
So for humans, a haziness of meaning is an occupational hazard they can take in stride. Life's nebulous and not knowing the answers is 'part of it' as humans like to say.

For a Meeseeks, it's an absolute disaster.
One might even say that their catchphrase 'I'm Mr Meeseeks - look at me!' is an expression of that assuredness that comes with having life figured out.

'I'm Mr Meeseeks - look at me! I know why I'm here and I know what I must do!'
Meeseeks are an embodiment that it isn't about the length of the life, but what was done with it.

I also like how for a Meeseeks, there isn't a relative scale for purpose.

The Meeseeks you summon to open a jar versus the one you summon to help you win the presidency - same.
(Also: at the end of the day, Beth turned out to be Jerry's Meeseeks. She got him to shave 2 inches off his golf game.

Oblique implication I missed the first time: her purpose in life is to make Jerry better. And we see that happen through the season.)
(God, this show is remarkable.)
And this may now be my favorite live-musing about anything.
