Daisuke, lost and lonely, hears a shy "Daisuke-kun?" through the earpiece. "What do you want?" Daisuke replies dryly, but Haru doesn& #39;t back down, he never does. "...nothing, I just wanted to hear your voice," Haru says.

Haru& #39;s taken aback by his honest response, and soon enough, he hears a quiet sob. It breaks his heart, it really does and he wants to go to Daisuke& #39;s room and be there for him, tell him that it& #39;s going to be okay, but Haru knows better than to meddle+
There& #39;s silence,only occasionally broken by a choked back hiccup, but Haru doesn& #39;t leave, doesn& #39;t budge even as minutes pass by. Patient and understanding. "Katou?" Daisuke says in a small, almost puppy-like voice, "come here."

Footsteps resonate through the empty hall as Haru approaches. When he knocks and opens the door to his room, Daisuke doesn& #39;t budge, doesn& #39;t look at him. Haru keeps his eyes on Daisuke the entire time.
"I& #39;m here."

Haru smiles fondly, "for as long as you want me to."

For the first time since their meeting, Daisuke flashes an honest smile, even while fiery hot tears stream down his cheeks. Haru doesn& #39;t say anything, just wraps his arms around Daisuke, just like his mother used to do. "You& #39;re won& #39;t be alone anymore," Haru reassures him.
Daisuke doesn& #39;t respond, he presses closer to Haru and closes his eyes, taking in the scent of coffee and something so Haru he cannot describe it.
Daisuke drifts into a peaceful slumber for the first time since his childhood. He dreams about flowers instead of pools of blood.
