Hydration.
This shouldn’t need to be said, but I need the reminder myself.

Your body is 60% water
Water is responsible for:
regulating body temperature
lubricating joints
protecting organs
flushing out waste
carrying nutrients & oxygen to the cells
dissolving minerals & nutrients
These are just some of the basics

When your brain is dehydrated (this means just HOURS without water), it immediately lowers its ability to:
Concentrate
Retain information
Problem-solve
Coordination
Hydration is such a key element in everything you do, but it’s such an easy thing to forget.

A fun little comparison I care up with,
75% of Americans are dehydrated...
75% of Americans are overweight...
I’m not saying dehydration is the cause, but it’s been said multiple times to curve hunger with water.
People might confuse a body cue for water as hunger.
Who knows?

Hydration is super important for weight loss:
“It improves the digestive system so that fats are eliminated from the body more efficiently. In effect, drinking water helps to flush your system out. It also reduces fluid retention and decreases the appetite.”
Maybe I’m right?

Despite the weight topic, hydration literally the fuel for your brain, which is 75% water.
“A fluid loss of 1.6% was detrimental to working memory & increased feelings of anxiety and fatigue
A fluid loss of 1–3% equals about 1.5–4.5lbs for a person weighing 150 pounds”

It’s said the average water loss through urination a day is around 1.8-4.4lbs
During exercise it’s easy to lose 2 lbs of water as well
And daily activities can use around 2 lbs of water..
It is incredibly easy to become dehydrated.

Drink a gallon everyday.
Again, this thread is a reminder for myself because I struggle with this.
A gallon is 8 pounds.
That’s enough to cover the water losses mentioned above.
There is no negatives to being optimally hydrated.
Other than pissing all the time.
