Hey new Thomas fans! You want to make something new for our community that requires slight higher thinking to enjoy? Good luck, you’ll be taken way too seriously and taken down by people who don’t get the point. If you ever want to take thomas to new heights, arg or not, you now-
Have to hope that your series isn’t taken down by people who can’t understand the point behind it. The fact the channel was removed is pretty scary at the least and genuinely worrying for the future of content in this community at the worst.
This is Mad Bomber all over again. Leo was threatened and harassed because people thought he ripped off thomas and he quit the project. Don’t pull a double standard.
And unfortunately this won’t stop here, no way in hell. History repeats and I’m almost 100 percent sure that as new blood comes to this community, people will continue to make new and unconventional Thomas videos, and they’ll get the same treatment as the archive channel.
I implore anyone who cares for our fandom to stick up for people that make content here. We cannot let new people and new ideas fall just because they aren’t the norm, or because you don’t understand the fact it’s an arg, or whatnot. As a fandom we have to stick up for ourselves.
If we could all time travel back and stick up for Leo we all would. Let’s do the same here. I want to see this fandom grow and evolve.
Letting fans write their own version of history has been going on for ages. Timothy is literally an example of pretending there was a lost segment of ghost train. Victor Tanzig rewrote the railway series in his series and said his version was fact. It’s either all ok or none-
Of it is okay. It’s really a shame we couldn’t see the arg go any further because it would have maybe even inspired new people to join and make similar content. It could have been the next sodor fallout or Richard but instead it was snuffed because it wasn’t what people expected.
I hope this thread shows everyone that we need to be more willing to understand new concepts and ideas in this fandom instead of immediately canceling something because it isn’t normal Thomas video content. We could be living in a new golden era of Thomas content online, but
Until we can allow peoples’ creative visions to actually see the light of day and be understood, we will never get there.
Im very sorry for snapping like this but we need to talk about this because it’s incredibly important to our fandom’s history and to it’s survival for future members. I have often canceled projects for fear of acceptance and stuff like this shows me that fear is warranted.
For anyone who has new and unique ideas out there, please do not be afraid to share them with us. We need to be better than shutting someone down who barely got off the ground.
Again im very sorry for making a huge thread, but I hope everyone can take some time to read this. Our community is large and incredibly creative, and we can’t snuff out new beams of light shining out. If you won’t do it for the archive, do it for Leo. Do it for Mad Bomber.
But most importantly, do it for your fandom. For the place where you share your talents and your hard work and passion, no matter how you show it. Do it for the thing that so many people have tried so destroy and put down.
