what’s going on with dreamnote?

dreamnote are a girl group from ime korea [w/ producex101 lee sejin]. they debuted in november of 2018 with 8 members, but now there are 6 members.

as a group they are nearly 2 years old, but they have only 10 songs.

they release ONE single album a year.

for over 2 years now, since before they even debuted, we have begged ime to treat the members better and they’ve ignored us. this thread is a comprehensive and chronological timeline of everything fucked up the company has done to the members of dreamnote.

1. mixnine (2017)

they sent 5 of their trainees to join the show in late 2017. they repeatedly made sumin, who was 15, do sexy concepts and allowed yg + seungri to make gross comments towards her for the entire duration of the show, including the final in front of her PARENTS.

they also set the girls up during their audition. they were underprepared (none of them had been there for longer than 2 months), and were told to sing over a backing track instead of showing what they could really do. the girls were humiliated on national tv.

2.park jinsol (2018)

jinsol was an original member of the 00 line (youi, lara, jinsol, and later miso). she was also one of the longest trainees there. there was a showcase with the original 9 member lineup, and afterwards she disappeared from EVERYTHING.

fans were upset when they realised, and started to flood the company asking why one of the most popular members had disappeared. the company never responded, and for months it went unanswered with her being blurred on youtube videos.

instead, we got this shitstorm.

3.abusing their trainees (2018)

they didn’t learn, and so in THEIR FIRST REALITY they decided to show the staff members verbally abusing the members to the point of tears over the showcase.

this video is really intense, so please skip it if you’re easily upset by these things!

you can even see jinsol (prev.) in this video sobbing, but they cut her out of all of the close ups and didnt acknowledge her presence at the showcase at all.

this video is still difficult to watch, and it’s even worse with the knowledge that the members average age was 16.

4. the maknaes (2019)

habin and hanbyeol went missing for 3 months. from june until september, they completely disappeared.

habin was already on rest due to an injurt, but the last we heard of hanbyeol before the disappearance was that she was hospitalised - causing PANIC.

they announced that habin and hanbyeol had left the group effective immediately only HOURS before it was another members birthday.

no, that’s not even a joke.

5. idol room (2019)

dreamnotes first appearance on variety tv was on idol room for the junior-senior special.

ime sent someone they had NEVER met before and that wasn’t even in their agency. the “senior” humiliated them and couldn’t even correctly name the members.

he even made them introduce their own song during a segment that was meant to be the SENIORS promote the JUNIORS.

compare how he introduces hakuna matata to how chungha introduced hocus pocus, and you can see why dreamnotes fans were upset by his actions.

6. pleading with fans (2020)

there were 10 months between their second album and their third album (its now been 8 months since that). in their goodbye video, youi joked about asking the company for a comeback. they constantly have to beg us to wait and not give up on them.

and then, they took the subtitles that were FAN SUBMITTED and removed the line that made the company appear guilty from the english translations. i know this, because i was the subtitler :/

this isn’t even the start of the times they’ve had to beg us to stay and wait for them

the company that signed up to protect these girls is refusing to do their jobs properly. i dont have screenshots, but misos photos were also used on a p*rn acc0unt. they got hundreds of retweets and when kfans and ifans reported it to ime, they did NOTHING to protect her image.

they r so talented and wonderful and loving and its so hard for us as fans to just sit here and watch ime korea constantly screw them over for seemingly no reason. please send dreamnote lots of love and support them whenever they get a comeback!
