I really believe in transparency because I feel it helps destigmatize mental illness. I personally have multiple mental illnesses. It’s super common to have more than one too. You’re not a burden and you’re not any less worthy of love for struggling. Cont.
You can still have a good and fulfilling life. You can still have love and friends. Don’t settle for people who belittle you and don’t love you where you’re at while you grow. It’s important to foster and environment for yourself that encourages growth and healing. Cont.
Belittling yourself and/or surrounding yourself with people who are cruel or harmful to you won’t help you cope or grow as a person. You’re not a bad person for having struggles. So many people do. I promise you’re not alone! One more in this thread. Cont.
I struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD. I’ve also struggled on and off with an eating disorder. I would say most people who know me love me and think I’m awesome. I don’t always believe that but it’s hard to receive love in your dark times.
