I use BC and AD instead of BCE and CE when I write because as I tell my students, BCE and CE are Christianizing in disguise and I prefer mine out in the open where I can see it.

Seriously folks you do you, this is just what I do. لكم دينكم ولي دين etc. etc.

This is also a big turn from what I grew up with, in which my parents forced BCE/CE and got mad at my textbooks bc they *didn't want me as a Jew to have to acknowledge Christ in my daily life,* I personally figure either way that's a fait accompli and people should sit in that.

In any case I seem to have proved my point that this is a thing worth caring about so thanks everyone!
