Today I chatted to a lovely materteral disciplinarian who explained to me that she punishes most of her naughty boys for offences such as speeding, or texting while driving. This infuriated me greatly and made me reflect on my own position. Love to hear your thoughts...

I struggle so much with the Peter Pan trope when it is used to legitimize irresponsible and reckless behaviour in the group for which this world has been designed, namely cis men. The sociopolitics surrounding the notion that ‘boys will be boys’ rankle me for the same reason.

Yet I’m also manifesting a naughty boy persona with delight. Does my trans/non-binary identity make me so different, after all? This I have to work on. I hope to play alongside some conscientious cis male fellow-spankees in the future: that would be a new and welcome experience.
