First, I should say that I deeply admire Geraldine's work. So much so that I invited her onto my dissertation committee. I have benefited massively from Gerry practicing what she preaches in making the work of scholars who do Middle Ages stuff outside of Europe more visible...
...in Euro-studies spaces, including in edited volumes and conferences at the Medieval Academy (which should really consider branding itself as "More European than Eurovision!").

I agree with Pearce, though, that practicing what one preaches doesn't happen enough in this book..
