Y’all be so mad when we talk about colorism that you fail to see that the privileges afforded to LS women in Black spaces is part of what attracts the white women black fishers in the first place. They’re nobody in their communities but know #yall will center them.

As white women with neither wealth nor traditional white beauty privilege, they are the bottom rungs in THEIR spaces. But “become” a LS Black woman and magically they have access to a whole new privilege check to cash in: The privilege of being centered that they’ve never had.

And these white women relish it. They take the platforms, take opportunities from ACTUAL Black women, speak over ACTUAL Black women, and present themselves as the faces of Blackness. It is SICK. Truly.

And just in case: I’m not AT ALL coming for LS black women here. My mom honest to goodness favors Rachel Dolezal, but she’s *actually* Black. These white women take opportunities from ALL of us. There are Black women of all complexions who EARNED the shit she stole. Fuck her!
