Sometimes I think that when a company (Nintendo, in this case) makes a seemingly arbitrary decision about game availability, The Gamers get mad because it reminds them they're not really in control.

Or that there are market forces at play greater than their particular whims.
How often do developers get BLISTERING waves of hate for falling out of line, having a cheeky tone, or expressing ownership over the games they make regarding price, platform, and availability?
It's bizarrely abusive. The Gamers want devs to know WE call the shots.

And that bluster seems to come from a secret understanding that deep down we know we don't.

Millions buy FIFA, Madden, Pokemon, and yes, The Last of Us regardless of gamer consensus on The Bad Thing.
No, you can give Nintendo money and play them though.
