For everyone who is still in highschool and plans to enter uni:

Uni, if you plan to take it seriously, is a really humbling experience and the place where you will most likely have to come to face your weaknesses. I don't think you just go there to get a degree so you can get...
a job. I think it's the place where many of you will find what you're made of. Uni life is very free compared to school life, but precisely because of that you will need much more discipline and self control to take care of yourself
Back in school I had always been the top scorer in everything, and later I entered uni with the 6th highest score out of 50k people who took the hardest entrance exam in the country. But I quickly discovered that I had many deficiencies in my knowledge, and that
I lacked the self discipline to give myself the best learning process. You can certainly make do and even get good grades for some time by binging anime and playing vidya all day like I did and then cramming everything a couple of days before the test, but you will quickly
find that it's not enough if you want to really, genuinely learn. You really need to have excellent self imposed time management and self study habits. Even right now, I still haven't fully managed to get that time management that I need, and many times uni shows me
that I'm a fucking idiot despite my excellent grades. I don't know, maybe this is a dumb ramble, but I just think that uni is a really important step towards adulthood and independence, and I want to advice that you get ready
Don't be like me, who wallowed in misery while obsessing over fiction for a long time before actually trying to get his shit together. Don't just try to get whatever degree just to feel like you're doing something with your life
I feel like I have to say this to myself than to anyone else, but for some reason I really wanted to get this thought out there. Hopefully someone finds this rambly and disjointed thread useful
