here is a friendly reminder that white girls arent the only people who have eating disorders!!!!!! anyone of any race, gender (or non), beliefs, etc. can have an eating disorder! just like anyone can have depression, anxiety, etc. also.. no, we do not hate food.
i feel like a very big misconception about eating disorders is the whole “oh yeah this white girl is just extremely dieting” no.. eating disorders are mental. some people don’t even develop eating disorders because they “hate their body”+
+like my eating disorder is personally genetic and was triggered from traumatic experiences i’ve endured. others can be from stress, anxiety, depression, ptsd, etc. there are many different causes to eating disorders other than someone just waking up and going “ya im gna starve”

stay safe, treat yourselves with kindness, check up on your friends to make sure they’re okay, breathe, try to meditate, take a shower, eat and drink water, practice self care. if not for yourselves do it for someone who you love. whether they are a fictional character+
+someone who is famous, your pet/s, etc!! they love you and so do i and everyone else in your life! if you’re feeling suicidal or struggling at all with mental health please try to reach out to someone or even a helpline/read some of these resources!! you are not+
+alone. you are not a burden. and this feeling is not permanent. everything will be alright just give it time. so many people including me struggle with our mental health and you are just as valid as everyone else.
