Each moment of sexual sin is choosing to love self more than God. Which is idolatry. Indulging in sexual sin means that we're choosing fleeting sinful pleasure over honoring God. Pursuing your lust above God is idolatry. It's not only about a pure mind - it's about HONORING GOD.

Try to remember this when you're facing moments of sexual temptation. WILL I CHOOSE MOMENTARY PLEASURE FOR MYSELF or will I choose to HONOR MY GOD WHO LOVES AND CARES FOR AND KNOWS WHAT'S BEST FOR ME?

We have to remember that God GIVES US THE ABILITY to say no and to walk away from temptation! He gives us a Spirit of power, love, and self control (2timothy1:7) We have the ability in the moment to RESIST!!! Resist the devil and HE WILL FLEE. Get in the habit of RESISTING.

but know that God gives you the strength and power to resist temptation and we cannot do it in our own strength. its gotta be in full dependance upon Him. we CANNOT overcome sin without God. we can't do it by our own might and determination. we've GOT to understand its ALL HIM

also remember that sex is not dirty!!! You are not disgusting or vile for having the desire for sex. It's the most natural thing in the world & God wants us to enjoy it in the way He intended - within the secure covenant of marriage with someone who is committed to loving us.

But if we want to live life with God - it has to be in all areas. You are not obedient if you choose to obey in all areas except for one. You cannot just excuse yourself from sexual sin. We need to dig deeper. Understand HOW to overcome temptation & lust IN GOD'S POWER.
