She has tenure for doing Black studies work at George Washington U. She once had the audacity to call *me* a fraud. And bc of her, others will be suspicious of folks who look like me. And of Black studies. And ppl who vouched for her.

Her deception hinged especially on coopting North African/Jewish and Afro-Latinx identities. So gross.
Our Black identities aren't a costume, a thing to dabble in, a thing to put on, a thing to pay in, a thing to kill, a thing to steal, a thing to abuse . . . none of that. Our Black identities belong to us as people. Sigh.
I want to be clear that no one who vouched for her or believed her is at fault. This is entirely on her.
I also don't want her to be harmed or to lose her ability to eat or have health care. That's not justice.
Advocating for being suspicious of light skinned people is not the right take away here, at all
