Hey so I wanna talk about this cause I spent my morning reporting and blocking ppl harassing Ana over this and its a great example of how anti/SAP types overlap perfectly with terfs...

Thread https://twitter.com/acvalens/status/1301503329428738048
I should have taken screens while blocking but oh well, the tweets are all still there if you want proof of what I'm gonna say here

So Ana tried out a vibe with the FG game play and this is being treated as a consent issue.
Ana tested to make sure the vibration was being redirected by grabbing at guys and then was like oh woah actually thats a consent issue, shouldn't do that whoops fuck

And the replies are all angry and saying she should apologize and should have never done it at all
They go on to just be upset that she is playing the game at all because its "a children's game" and "children's media", the grabbing becomes secondary to the fact she used something "intended for kids"
Ana acknowledges her mistake and this isn't enough, they want her off the internet, they want her monitored, they spam memes about FBI.

But while they do this they misgender Ana and say transphobic shit.
So you see this interesting thing happen where a SAP comes in to tell Ana she's a freak using kids media to get off, then a terf responds to that person to agree and the SAP has a moment where they turn and go "begone terf!" as if they aren't part of the same mob
The reason Ana is being targeted like this IS because she is a trans woman. Responders disagree, but sexual gratification from video games (controllers have vibrated for years) has been around for a long time
The ppl coming to attack her point to her sexual tweets, her sw, her satire tweet about breeding facilities as a gotcha for being "deviant"

Its all the same shit. If I covered the user info on these you not be able to tell the terfs from the SAPs at all
Oh i wanted to add:

I think consent when it comes to situations like this is tricky. Not the interacting with other players thing, thats pretty straight forward, but the idea of consent of other players while doing something sexual that.... doesn't involve them actually
Ppl are reacting as if playing an online game with any sort of sex in mind is a violation of all the other players - they are acting like playing FG with a vibe on is the same as jerking off in the middle of a busy mall
And... its not.

Ppl are stuck on it as if the allure to this was the fact that FG is a "kids game" and has other players but like, it seems obvious that its a vibration heavy pick up and play game that is simple enough to test the technology with
If Ana played, idk, animal crossing, there isn't really a structure or beginning/end. And no vibrations outside of fishing. If she played a racing or shooter game it would have been constant vibrations instead of occasional
FG is current and easy to pick up and play without violence and without long cut scenes etc. Its bold to assume ppl would not have been bothered by playing something like Last of Us 2 with a vibe in. Its either games geared to kids or its violence so????
Think about the fact also that, despite sexuality and eroticism being in games since they have existed, this is a new enough concept that needs fiddling and work and getting messy and making mistakes.

Those players weren't assaulted. They were not harmed.
Ana realizing and going oh shit wait I shouldn't do that should not be treated as the final nail in the coffin, it should be treated as a mistake she recongized and corrected which is.... what ppl are supposed to do
Ppl out here acting like she grabbed a real person in real life and felt them up for a minute and then was like oh whoops my bad haha. Like, no, thats not even close.
