- About this: nobody is interested in GC battle in first week. Taking yellow too earlier it's a problem if you want to have it in Paris (and probably yellow jersey duties like press conferences shall be reduced not to false the competition, but it's another thing) https://twitter.com/laflammerouge16/status/1301530437353975808

#TDF2020
- It's pretty clear that today's climb was wasted, like Turini or Colmiane, like Orcieres ending in a sprint. At this point, the sprinters battle of the first week with 4-5 flat stages was more exciting and the project 'failed'.

#TDF2020
- Nobody will so attack in first week for GC and we will probably not see any key attack in the weekend - pyrenees are too early in the route. Everyone will blame long stages in a Grand Tour with only one stage > 200 Km.

#TDF2020
- Reality is quite simple: unless something happened (example, gaps in ITT, falls, etc) every man in GC believes to be able to win TDF with a single attack. And won't risk too much because he has no time to recover.

#TDF2020
- Maybe a better first week could've been designed with an Eze ITT and a proper MTF. But the plan is clearly to have the first big gaps later possible. La Planche 2015 Froome attack ruined all the TDFs after that one.

- One personal consideration on the continously asking for short stages that may not be shared by other people running the account: if you want shorter time events, please don't ruin road cycling. MTB and Cyclo-cross can suit you better, go watch them.
