One thing that I wish I would have known about healing, years ago - is that jumping to be super “productive” & busy working on goals right after a heartbreak or disappointment does more harm than good. This is why I preach that rest is productive.
You’re getting hurt & the first thought is “let me work on x, y, & z”

Now you’re putting all of your time & energy into something (when you barely have anything to give) so it’s either progressing slowly, or not progressing at all. Causing you extra stress.
It’s extra stress because y’all KNOW when you’re hurt & trying to stay productive, you’ll just make up random things to do. Creating anxiety. Pouring your energy into outside projects when you need to sit your ass down somewhere & let spirit pour into you.
Even if your hyper productivity pays off (because it does, a lot of the times) - years later, you’re sitting there trying to enjoy the fruits of you labor & next thing you know, that subconscious pain that you never allowed yourself to heal from comes back up -
& now you’re falling back into a negative mental & spiritual state and “can’t figure out what’s wrong”.

Just because you’re distracted & happy in a moment doesn’t mean you’re healing.
If you get knee surgery, you’re not going to immediately start going to the gym to help it heal. Why? Bc it’s going to make it worse - cause long term problem. Instead, you lay in bed, you rest, you start to do more at your own pace.
