Future Coupons basically acted as a holding company, to control stake in various Future Group businesses.

Now after Reliance's acquisition deal, all the listed companies of Future Group belong to Reliance.

That means, Amazon is now left with nothing!

Amazon is desperately trying to acquire established companies in the retail space in India so as to make a strong foothold to compete with Reliance Jio.

They will now have to search for a new acquisition target who is well established in the retail industry.

He not only gobbled up the Future Group in a distress acquisition deal, but also blocked Amazon's business interests in the Indian retail space thereby forcing them to look for other targets.
