I received my first rejection from a journal yesterday. Imposter syndrome crept in until I spoke with a friend whose response is key for any new #academic. He was rejected on the 4th submission to a journal, made changes, & resubmitted to a different journal that was accepted.
That paper has made a massive impact on its field of study w/ numerous awards and over 20,000 citations. To anyone who may need to hear it; it sucks, but I will learn from it & dig deeper. The work excites me & has helped struggling individuals. #AcademicChatter #AcademicTwitter
Don't let one reviewer/journal/scientist tell you that your work is not meaningful. Learn from it and keep working hard to make the world a better place with science. :)
