oh my god, just heard of david graeber's passing. that's heartbreaking. one of the most brilliant thinkers and activists on the left, and so compassionate and kind. read anything and everything by him you can find, it will make you a better person

I was recently watching this interview with him and this part in particular resonated with me. he lived by this principle of always being critical toward authority and power rather than cowering to it, as most intellectuals and academics do, and for that I deeply admire him. RIP

I'll never forget that he was one of the rare cases of people w/ a platform who backed corbyn to the hilt and never wavered, even during the hardest times. the guardian refused to publish his pieces but he kept exposing the hacks, smear-artists and liars
