Regarding my last tweet: I am past the point where I believe I can change enough hearts and minds to help protect the most vulnerable in our society. I am now focusing on ensuring dangerous authoritarian Christian nationalists don't get as much access to power.

I still believe in hearts and minds being changed because I am someone who is on that journey! I know it's possible, and it has and is liberating me.

But we absolutely need to ensure that the Republican party is devastated in this election, because of their alignment with Trump

Biden/Harris are NOT as aligned with Christianity or Christian nationalism, the democratic party is full of people who loudly and vocally disagree and at least try and hold power accountable, and unless we do something drastic the Republicans will get much much worse.

I've spent the past few months in Portland being tear-gassed by my own police and having my neighbors wave Trump flags and guns in my face as they scream at Black Lives Matter protesters. I know I cannot change their minds quickly enough to stop policies that are killing people.

The stakes are so high. We can change hearts and minds while ALSO voting unrepentant white supremacist Christian nationalists out of office.
