Just as birtherism was a way for Republicans to express a belief that Black people can't be president, the Pelosi salon "scandal" is just a back door way to express a belief that women shouldn't be in leadership positions. There is no need to take it seriously, pundits.
Certainly, that elaborate 'do Trump gets done to hide his bald spot is a labor-intensive grooming procedure, but that's not a scandal because no one contests the right of men to be political leaders.
Scandalizing women for grooming is also a double-edged sword, because if women appear in public looking sloppy, that is also a scandal. It's deliberately set up so you lose no matter what you do.
