It's not every day you see a banner across city hall with your name on it.

Changwon Mayor @huhmooo invited the Banned Book Club to his office today to honor us for telling his city's history in our book.

We thought we were just visiting Hyun Sook's hometown and saying a quick hello to some local officials, but then we arrived to find out it was a big press conference! We presented a copy of our book to the mayor and news organizations all across the country reported on it!

Mayor Huh HIMSELF was a member of a banned book club, and he was arrested twice for it. So he knows this story well. It's amazing that in 30 years they went from hiding their stories at risk of death to celebrating the tale's international release inside City Hall.
