1/ This has been one of the most depressing 24 hours I’ve ever had on Gender Critical Twitter.

To be clear: every woman & girl must know that their sex-based rights will disappear if they do not pay attention & join this struggle.
2/ This is so regardless of their skin colour, age, economic status, politics, education etc. Whether they are non-racist, racist, homosexual or homophobic.

That doesn’t mean I condone racist or homophobic behaviour, I abhor it.
3/ That doesn’t mean I have to ally myself with racists or homophobes or that I will not call out such behaviour, just that I recognise that all women need to know that the struggle for women’s rights is their struggle too.
4/ Do we use clear language that alerts all women & girls that what’s happening is about them? Or do we say that this is only for the well educated, feminist, non-racist, lefties?

Do we keep our message clear & welcoming of *all* females or do we erect check-points?
5/ Can we as a movement model anti-racist, radical feminist & progressive politics? Absolutely but we must not use that to exclude other women whose politics we disagree with or even abhor. We can chose not to ally with them directly.
6/ This is a danger & a struggle the likes of which none of us has ever known. Adhering to any given political or philosophical belief system is not the immediate priority.
7/ If I am being attacked & someone is willing to come to my rescue, I’m not going to ask about their politics before welcoming their help.

If after the danger has passed I see that they have rescued me only to hurt me, I will have survived long enough to beat them back.
8/ Rome is burning. Gatekeeping those who can help put out the flames is just folly.
