Honestly this progressive v regressive chant going on in the TL is so redundant. Every fan feels their favourite show is progressive & if you want to put down a certain show, it's easy to declare it's the worst of the lot while the rest have progressive storylines (1/4)

The reality of ITV is that no show remains progressive after a certain point (some from the beginning & some after 100 or 200 episodes & some cuz the progressive start did not get them TRP). We continue to watch cuz we are attached/out of habit/you like the actors/lead pair (2/4)

Or simply in the hope that things will get better. End of the day apart from a few shows on Sony, 99 percent shows have regressive tracks in them (some more than the rest). TRP matters & writers are desperate so even Lizzie will be turned into Gopi bahu on ITV (3/4)

So this whole debate is extremely ridiculous IMO. And these constant skewed comparisons only reflect our bias & individual opinion end of the day. (4/4)
