I witnessed another power play from Umuada Yesterday during my visit to Ikwunnem.

The DIOKPALA( a rich man oh) was summoned by Umuada to explain why their own share was not given to them on time.

The man was humbled, it took the intervention of my Grandma to save him.
For a proper context.

The man owns the house, owns the food, bought everything.

He and his family invited them to the occasion.

Yet they came and gave order on how things will happen otherwise, ọdawị n'ite ofe.

I learnt something new too.
So, as "Nwa-Nwa" if you go to your Ikwunne, you can take what please you during sharing.

So I was told to go and kneel before ỀmỄada and say "Nde Nneeooo" and collect my own share of meat.

Man I was shy and scared to even get close.
Laughed it off.
Until I saw someone did the same and he was given a big pouch of meat.
So I went and did the same and got mine too. Hilarious stuff!

I loved everything about that, it felt very different & pleasing to know this type of amazing culture exist in our land.
