Sage Vishwamitra and Trishanku

Back in Antiquity, Sage Vishwamitra was doing Tapasya to get Brahmarshi Position in the southern part of India. He had got Rajarshi Position till then by Lord Brahma.

At the same time, Trishanku was Ruling Ayodhya. He wanted to go Swarga Lok without losing his mortal body. So, He asked Sage Vashishtha to perform the Yagya for him, which later declined as it was not possible.

When King approached Sons of Sage Vashishtha, they became angry at him and asked him to forget about the Yagya and go back to Ayodhya. King then told that he will look for another Sage who can do this Yagya for him,

but he won't give up his desire to attain Swarga Lok without losing the body.

Enraged by this, Sages cursed him to become Chandal. King then went to Sage Vishwamitra and told him all the incidents. Sage Vishwamitra agreed to perform Yagya for him.

At that time, Sage Vishwamitra hadn't given up his anger. When Sons of Sage Vashishtha made fun of him and Trishanku after knowing about the Yagya, He cursed them to die soon and be chandal in next births.

Sage Vishwamitra completed the Yagya, but deities denied to take the Havishya as Trishanku was a cursed Chandaal and he wasn't eligible to perform Yagya or get Swarga Lok.

Then Sage Vishwamitra used all his Tapobal which he had acquired till date and created a parallel Universe for Trishanku. This Universe had its planets, Nakshatra, deities and Trishanku was the Indra of that Universe.

This Universe is said to be present till date outside the main Universe which is present on the Vaishwanar Path.

Certainly, Sage Vishwamitra is most experimental and daring Inventor and Scientist of all times.

He has rightly gained the Position of Brahmarshi and has all the reasons to be called so.
