And here is a wikileaks e-mail from a Sony Vice President urging others to donate to Cuomo specifically because “he is a strong protector of the (tax incentive ) program... despite recent criticisms”
Our white male billionaire employers get $420mil/year in film&TV tax incentives from New York while those of us who are crew members are forced to work industry-standard 12-14+ hour days, no paid family leave, no vacation/holiday pay, oh yeah, and THIS is in our contracts #1U
and our billionaire film&TV employers not only own Cuomo, they own our Union “leaders” who have *us* as members lobby for these corporate welfare incentive programs, all while they do nothing about aforementioned 12-14+ hour days or lack of PFML/Paid Sick Days. #1U #RankAndFile
They say these film&TV incentive programs “create jobs”. No, they simply move jobs from State to State, and workers “chase the incentives”. All while manipulating the “jobs” numbers and counting a single day of work as a “job”. It is THE ultimate corporate welfare racket
